Studio Brief 03 | Life's a Pitch | Design Strategy | Hand Stuff - Final Group Presentation

Life’s A Pitch Group Presentation

Team Name: Hand Stuff (sometimes art gets too serious)

Team Members:
> Beth Fitton
> Nanami Butler
> Leah Chen
> Katie Sung

Roles:
We will spilt the roles between us evenly and cooperate well as a group. This will either be setting up the exhibition, social media platforms, merchandises, posters, banners, drinks, food, tickets and location etc.

Summary background of the Hand Stuff Exhibition:-
This particular kind of exhibition focuses on displaying artwork based on hand made or crafty background. We wanted no only Graphic designers to present their work. But also include Illustrators and Animators (as they are in a similar department). It is a good way of distributing students work for potential future clients. They people who also display their work can also sell some of them. The most iconic icon of the exhibition is the hand semiotic, we also suggested a using a boomerang video of the visitors and students to do a waving hand motion. This will be posted and spread through social media platforms. The colour scheme of the exhibition will be yellow and light blue - these colour choices emphasise happiness, relax and open environment for all. The location of this particular exhibition would either be the University or another Studio.

Feedback from tutors

  • Liked the name of the exhibition (hand stuff)
  • Not fond of the tag line especially the word 'serious' art is not supposed to be serious it more fun and passionate.
  • University work should be challenging part of producing a positive final piece.
  • Majority believe that the colour scheme was appropriate for our theme/concept
  • The social media aspect of promoting the exhibition was one of their favourites (boomerang video) as a icon of the showing
